London, KY - Westgate RV Camping

One time while heading north up I-75 to escape the hot southern summer we decided to stop for a few days in London, KY. Our main objective was to tour the large water reservoirs in the area and to visit the Cumberland Falls.

We had outstanding weather during our short visit allowing us to spend an extra day for shopping in the malls.

Our RV Park choice was the Westgate RV Camping and it’s run by a motel which allows you to have the continental breakfast and use the pool among other things. The web sites provided below explain the RV park amenities and the Cumberland falls area. We were parked between two large bushes on an end site. Right out our back window was a MacDonald’s and up on top of the hill sit’s a Cracker Barrel restaurant, so we didn‘t have to travel very far for food. The tour of the falls and local area was very enjoyable and we roamed around the area for four days.

This was during our full timing years and we never stayed put very long.
